The day has arrived and my nerves are shredded.Friends this is a massive day and I simply want to wish you all the very best for tonight.I hope you get through even if we don't but if we can both do it .......
Messages from Napoli confirm no deaths or stabbings yet - their Ultras must be having a lange schlafen

I am lost for words (which is very unusual for me). What a fabulous night for both teams!!!Throughout our game we all kept in touch with events in Oporto. At 2-0 down I thought the mighty Adler were falling, but my friends, our national flag is ,of course, the Dragon Rampant which to me was not an omen in favour of Porto but a sign that SGE destiny lies within a Welsh connection. That can only mean that we will meet in the next round. You have two precious away goals and we have the confidence of knowing we can beat the Italians,as we really should have last night (20 shots on goal-8 on target-their two keepers (one went off injured) kept them in it.)So,under our new coach Gary Monk we are playing superb football.
I am sure SGE will get through and I honestly believe we are now in with a real chance.
7000 of you in Oporto is outstanding.I don,t think there can be another team in Europe who could match that.If - no no no - when we come to Frankfurt I think we,ll likely bring 3-4000.
I like the photo ot the eagle and swan.Unfortunately it looks as if the eagle is planning on an illegal amorous maneuver.Whilst this is clearly yet another sign of our meeting I think it also shows that ultimately der Adler may be too powerful for der Schwan! But,who knows, perhaps the two birds flew off together and lived happily ever after a la Hansel and Gretel (yea I agree that I frequently talk a lot of bollocks)
All your kind messages are much appreciated. This time next week we will know for certain what fate is to deal us.Surely she will not let us down.
Forward the mighty SGE and SCFC
KTF the day is coming

Hello H ! Yeah what a day.I said earlier that two wins for my beloved two teams would start a party and believe me,my friend, we have been partying down here big time.I have also said before how similar our teams are and this latest result is just another example of exactly that.We are destined to meet and for me it will be an honour to compete against the finest team in Germany.
Suddenly things look so much brighter for us both.
Very many congratulations, have a good night ,and remember a lot more of us here in S.Wales raise a glass (or two) to our good SGE comrades.

Gentlemen,Laudrup,as you may be aware has had the bullet. The King is dead long live the King (not that I'm a monarchist-God forbid).I am very relieved. As one Jack has posted today having Laudrup as a manager was a bit like being married to a beautiful supermodel, great at first but soon too soon turning ugly! Our football this season has been very very poor.Laudrups training methods have left us with an unfit squad that are very injury prone and extremely boring to watch. On Saturday we play our arch-enemies so please spare a thought for us although I fully appreciate you have troubles of your own (not dissimilar to our own).
All the very best for EB this weekend - a massive game which I fully believe will see SGE with an additional 3 precious points.
Two wins for our clubs will be the signal for party time here in South Wales.

Congratulations mein Herren (und Dammen).
The mighty SGE get revenge and 3 precious points and SuperSwans win away to go into the last 16 of the FA Cup.Life can be good at times!
Any of you Frankfurters going to Morzine in the French Alps between 1 - 8 March?I'm there on holiday and if any of you SGE boys fancy a drink in the Dixie Bar the first one is on me
Well done for yesterday and keep those flags flying. Oh,lastly please explain the "running gag" vis-a-vis Hertha.

Best of luck today lads.Revenge for the opening game would be sweet.
We,re away in the FA Cup at Birmingham but I'm not going. We have had a nightmare Christmas period taking one point from eighteen with the league table looking very frightening. We have many injuries but to be honest we haven't played well consistently for a long time. On a more positive note my tickets for the Napoli game arrived this week so roll on the 20th February.
Have a good day gentlemen and keep in touch

Cheers,H you're a good lad ! Of course we've got to do it all over again on Saturday and with half our squad out injured I am calling once again on mighty Odin.
But on a brighter note if we can beat MUFC once then Napoli must be a worried bunch of Italians
Bring on Napoli and Porto I say and then lets party.

Hello AJ my old buddy.Yep being a fan is an expensive business. If my wife wants to go to Napoli then I suppose we will but that creates a difficult problem for me. I would prefer to come to Frankfurt either in the Europa Cup if both our clubs are successful (obviously my first choice) or come to Frankfurt to see a Bundesliga match.Wherever we go we would use it as a mini holiday and take a few days.Unfortunately,I can,t see us travelling to Europe twice
I would far prefer a visit to your goodselves without any question. I suppose I'll have to see how things develop.
Good to hear from you again and looking forward to that first beer.

Hawischer - thanks for you good wishes which are certainly returned to you in your forthcoming trip to the Estremadura Coast. You'll have a great time in a very beautiful and friendly city. A difficult game but I am confident you will be okay. A pity about that arsehole on the loudspeaker but I'm certain the SGE legions will drown him out.
El West - you're right we will need luck -  both on and off the pitch. The reputation of the Napoli fans is not the best but the Jack Army is well known for being able to look after its own   Hopefully there will be no problem.
Jakky,my old friend -  like you my heart was racing when SCFC came up so early in the draw. As you can imagine I was praying for SGE but it was not to be,at least for the time being!!! Napoli is a very tough one but not impossible. At the start of the season I would not have believed our two teams would be two ties away from meeting each other. It is incredible and almost unimaginable
I think I'll have another word with Odin (or perhaps Thor would be better with Napoli as our opponents !)
Things are certainly hotting up this season
Viva SGE and SGE
Keep the Faith my friends
From a very excited Welshman

We are through to the Knock-out stage with a hell of a lot of luck,no skill and with very little honour. But we are there and this is a dream. The odds of us playing each other are now too incredible to think about. The last 32! You are top of your group we are second in ours - can this really happen? Will I tread the holy terraces of the Waldstadion - will you experience the delights of our Wind Street? Only the gods know but please Odin do your best.
This could happen,my friends, so more than ever Keep ths Faith.

Bad day, boys.Interestingly, Crystal Palace (the Eagles) are beating Cardiff 2-0.I'm afraid the big man upstairs got the wrong Eagles

Boys, have no fear ! I have had a prophetic dream last night (we Celts put much store by such things). I, and my best friend Billy ,were about to put to death some Cardiff City fans when all of a sudden a voice was heard from above saying "spare those miserable swine and tomorrow I will grant victory to the mighty SGE". I asked could He make it 6-0 to which he answered "Welshman thou art a greedy sod but I will fix it for 2-0". So there you are,no worries!
Keep the Faith,2-0 it will be.

Hello H nice to hear from you again and many apologies for the delay in congratulating the mighty SGE following the Bordeaux invasion. We were shit against Valencia and deserved what we got. You are right ,a point in die Schweitz and we are there but will we get it ,and will our Spanish friends beat Kuban Krasnodar? I really hope so because the odds of us meeting become a reality and what a couple of parties we will have
In the league we picked up three vital points away to Fulham and what a brilliant weekend we had!!! Unfortunately we are away to Man City tomorrow so god help us.
Good luck tomorrow boys 3 points are there, go and get them.
Adlerjunge - I hope the trip to France had a positive affect on your French
Adlerfox, nice to hear from you.Good win today and you are looking really good. I was at your place 4 or 5 years ago when you spanked us. I think it was the first game of the season. We had the last laugh though offloading De Sousa (not the best to put it mildly)
Nos Da,Gute Nacht and goodnight comrades.

8,500 tickets sold for Bordeaux ? There won,t be an onion left in town (or a virgin !!!)
An envious Welshman ,-)
#
So,Adlerjunge,my friend, you are off to Bordeaux. Have a great time but beware of those French maidens .
So ein Zufall  -  you mention Fulham as my tickets have just arrived and I will be off for my first away game of the season. I will spend the weekend in London and will be very wary of those English maidens. I will have no choice, unfortunately,as my wife is coming as well to do some Christmas shopping
Have a good weekend Franfurters.
Nos da (Good night)

My dear Adlerjunge your positive and confident outlook is an example to us all. You are a credit to your club and city.Well done matey!
You will easily recognize us when we come over as we will carry our country's flags, the Welsh Dragon and the battleflag of Owain Glyndwr (our hero from the Middle Ages),we also will be speaking our native tongue (not English!!!). I would also hope to ask for any directions in your language which , I believe, is the polite way to go about things when you visit another persons country. (My German is coming along nicely - "es ist eine schwierige Sprache nicht war !") We will also arrange a venue for beer intake
I read last week in one of our newspapers an interesting article on the support that Bor. Dortmund get. Their Chairman thinks that approximately 800-1,000 fans travel from Britain for each of their home games. I must say that that does not surprise me as interest in German football is growing all the time.
We are also continuing to concede late goals. Last Sunday against Stoke we were 2-0 down at half time, but fought back to 2-3 until the ref decided to give them a penalty in the 94th minute. 3-3 in the end but we were robbed of 2 precious points which could be vital come the end of the season.
Good talking to you all.
Keep in touch and Keep the Faith burning brightly

It hurts.I know very well what you are going through. Anyone who tells me it is just a game has no idea what passion and loyalty mean. Remember only that your club are your life (or at least a very big part of it) and be very proud that you have not sold your souls like Bayern M ,Man Utd or Man City.
